Q.    Placing An Order

A.    You may place an order at "Down the Beaded Path" either by phone, e-mail, or through our web site. To use our web site, simply click on the "more info" link to the right of the product you wish to purchase. This will bring you to a page where the "add to cart" option is available. (Please note the "quantity" box will always be set at one due to our products being unique.) Clicking on the "add to cart" button will place your item into your shipping cart. When finished with your order, simply click on "cart review," review your order, and if finished shopping, click on "check out". You will then be guided through our secure check out pages.

Q.    What forms of payment do you accept? 

A.    We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and PayPal.

We accept payments from the United States and Canada.  For international orders, we only accept PayPal. For international orders, please contact us for shipping rates to your country. Your invoice will be appropriately adjusted to reflect the cost to ship to your country. Insurace rates may vary per country; as we insure your packages; please be aware that an insurace cost will be e-mailed to you. If you do not wish the insurance, you may decline it, otherwise it will be added to your package. Free shipping is only for the U.S. (not including Hawaii and Alaska)


NOTE - when using a credit/debit card we only ship to the "bank confirmed billing address" of the card. Items paid with Paypal only ship to the Paypal "confirmed address". A confirmed address is the address where you receive your credit/debit card bill or statement or has been confirmed through Paypal. 

Q.     How soon will I get my order?

A.    Most shipments are mailed within 3-5 business days. Please be aware that custom orders may take up to 2-3 weeks for delivery. All custom orders are handcrafted as soon as possible after the order is received. Due to the increased volume of shipped packages by USPS during holidays, please be aware that your order may take longer to reach you during that time.

Q.    How is my order shipped and is it Insured? 

A.    We ship via the US Postal Service - Insured First Class to the U.S. (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). International shipping is as mentioned above.  If you need an item faster, please contact us (shipping charges will apply).  Need an item faster?

Q.    How much will shipping costs be?

A.    There is one flat fee of $5.95 for First Class shipping within the 50 United States and $6.95 to Canada. Expected delivery for first class is usually between 4-10 days depending on your state, address and /or location in Canada. All packages are insured free of charge. You will be e-mailed the tracking number of your insured package at the time your package is shipped. Go to the "track your order" link, put in your tracking number and view your package's journey.  

For faster service, below are approximate fees and approximate delivery times:

USPS Priority Mail (domestic)................................ $8.50+ *
Expected delivery 3-5 days.
USPS Express Mail (domestic/overnight)................. $19.75+ *        *(USPS adjusts shipping fees frequently; we charge what we pay)
Expected delivery 1-2 days.

FREE SHIPPING (first class) on all orders of $100 or more!! 

Q.    What is your return policy? 

A.    Returns for credit or exchanges are accepted but must meet the requirements below. All returns not meeting the requirements will be returned to sender.

  1. All items must be returned for credit or exchange within 7 days of receipt of the package.  No credit will be issued or exchanges honored after the 7 days. Exceptions will be for holiday gift giving.  
  2. Items must be in the original box/bag with all appropriate tags in place otherwise the item will be  considered used and non returnable.
  3. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
  4. Please package  your return/exchange appropriately so as to prevent damage during mailing. Returned items that are damaged will not be accepted if package is not appropriately wrapped and mailed. (*We suggest bubble wrap and padded shipping envelopes.) All packages must be insured.*
  5. A copy of the invoice must be included with the package.
  6. Credit will be issued within 3-5 days after receipt of your return. (Exception: if your item was damaged through shipping, please see #8 below). Items returned for exchange will be shipped in 3 - 5 business days (unless exchanged item is for a customized order then custom order turn around time of 2 - 3 weeks applies.) No re-shipment fees are assessed on exchanged items.
  7. All jewelry requiring resizing will be done for free. (Customer pays shipping to send package to us; we do not charge shipping to the customer once item has been resized.)
  8. ***Should there be damage to or loss of your package due to shipping, please contact us immediately. USPS requires 30 days after the package was shipped to file a claim.  Refunds or replacement items will be processed after the required 30 days when a claim can be filed with USPS. If your item was damaged in shipping by USPS, please return by following the instructions in #1- 6 after contacting us.
  9. There are no returns or exchanges on custom orders.
